RiceBoy Dreams

«RiceBoy Dreams» is a conceptual exploration of systemic colonialism and suppressed heritage, manifested in an abstract audio-visual experience. The project delves into cultural roots and collective memory through a blend of documentary elements and fantastical storytelling. Hanil creates an immersive narrative accentuated by the deliberate use of vintage gear such as old screens and a tape recorder, invoking nostalgia and a connection to the past. This approach invites audiences to reflect on identity, resonating with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds.
