Today's VR games try to transport us to limitless open worlds, which are generally too vast for our natural play areas. Our body is becoming increasingly important as a controller in this context. However, when players enter the virtual space, they tend to lose touch with their physical environment.
«Homeverse» transfers your physical home space through VR googles into the virtual environment. In this Co-location multiroom scale experience, the VR headset is a portal to alternative home spaces. Users can play together uniquely, and it feels more like the communal play experience we know from our childhood while still feeling the safety of our own home.
The pilot project, «Spacecraft - A New Way Home», focuses on the cooperation between the two players: many tasks can only be carried out in a goal-oriented manner through collaboration. As they progress, players gradually rebuild their home, opening up an increasingly complex spaceship. Finally, after the spaceship has been brought under control and the overheated engine has been repaired, the team is ready - unknown worlds lie ahead!
