Zangezi

A Film Installation

«Zangezi» is a 1922 Russian Futurist play written by the poet Velimir Khlebnikov which explores themes of language, war, revolution, interspecies communication and planetary crisis. The prophet Zangezi speaks in the languages of the natural world and the cosmos – the birds, the earth, the stars and the gods – to the masses on the earth. For REFRESH 2025, the Immersive Arts Space presents a filmic installation of this radical work.
